    The Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame considers donation requests on a weekly basis and awards financial aid quarterly. Please go to the Community Outreach page at the top of the home page and use the drop down box to go to our donation request page.

    2012 Hall of Fame Press Conference
    The Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame announced their inductees for the 2012 Hall of Fame ceremonies. They are Simon Keith, Stacey Augmon, Duke Durden, Frank Nails, and The Las Vegas Founders. The Induction ceremonies will be held at The Orleans Arena on June 8th. The 2012 Class is an extraordinary group of athletes and community leaders. Join us for this great event.   • This Month in Southern Nevada Sports History

    May 2003

    Former Major League All Star and 2005 Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame Inductee Matt Williams hit the last of his 378 home runs for the Arizona Diamondbacks. Matt hit the towering home run off of Randy Wolf of the Philadelphia Phillies. He retired after the 2003 season and remains tied to the Diamondbacks as a partial owner and as a special assistant to the managing partner.
     

 

The heart of the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame lies in our commitment to the future. Our Hall of Fame seeks to pass on the values to succeed to the next generation of young men and women, supporting community outreach programs and contributing scholarship programs that promote diversity, education, and the discipline and perseverance necessary to succeed both in sports and in life.The Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame has evolved into what has become a time-honored evening to recognize a select group of individuals who, through their dedication and commitment to sport, have become giants in our community. All proceeds from the event will be donated to various scholarship funds, youth groups, and community outreach projects in Southern Nevada.
