Rob Portaro

Chairman

  

     Rob has served on the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame Board of Trustees for 12 years in various capacities and was named Chairman of the Board in 2010. He was the chairman of the Silent Auction committee for six years. In addition to serving as Vice Chairman for the last three years he was the Dinner & Event Chairman.  Rob has resided in Las Vegas for the last 25 years and is a financial advisor with Mass Mutual Life Insurance Company. Portaro has also held positions in the sports community including the South Point Arena, Las Vegas Gladiators, The Vegas Gran Prix and has coached many teams in youth sports including baseball and football. Rob has sat on numerous boards in the Southern Nevada Community and spearheaded and founded the Clark County Pool Safety Commission.

    Rob, an Ohio native has been married to Janice for 20 years and has 3 children, Gina, Robbie and Julia.
