Simon Keith

Simon has served on the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame Board of Trustees for more than 10 years. Simon is chairman of the scholarship committee. Keith, a native of London, England by way of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, has lived in Las Vegas since arriving in 1987 to play for the UNLV Rebel Soccer team. Holding the distinction of being the first athlete ever to have played professional sports after having undergone a heart transplant, Keith was the number one overall pick in the 1989 professional soccer draft.  Currently, he serves as partner and Chief Operating Officer for Ellis Holdings, a collection of companies in the gaming and financial engineering sectors. Simon remains active in the community while enjoying travelling and indulging in his favorite pastime – playing hockey. Simon is married to Kelly with three children – Sarah, Sami and Sean.
