Sports Hall of Fame Class |
| September 1986 Wisconsin became the first Big Ten school to play in Las Vegas. The game set an all time record for attendance with 40,000 fans packing in Sam Boyd Stadium. Led by quarterback Steve Stallworth, a Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame Trustee, and Ickey Woods, the Badgers left town with a shocking 17-7 loss. Woods, famous for the "Ickey Shuffle" he would later use in the NFL, scored the game-clinching touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 14-yard run. |
