2010-11 Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame
Community Outreach Financial Aid Program
Our Community Outreach Mission:
As an active member of the Southern Nevada community, the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame is dedicated to providing financial support to athletic organizations in need throughout the year. Support from our organization is distributed to enhance existing programs’ missions to provide excellence in sport.
Selection Process:
Please fill out the Donation Request Form (PDF) at the bottom of this page and fill it out in its entirety and send it to communityrelations@sportshalloffame.net. Please note that your request must directly impact a minimum of 50 youth athletes in the Southern Nevada community. Individual requests, adult teams and or leagues will not be considered. Grant applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis and a phone interview may be scheduled with all finalists. After completing the interview process your application will be reviewed by the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame Executive Board. Only those receiving aid will receive notification.
Requirements for Awarding Grants:
The Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame requires that your request for aid be allocated to one of the following:
Budgetary Need
Youth Exposure of Sport
Continuation of Sport
Unforeseen Hardship/Disaster
Equipment
Capital Improvement
Continuing Sport Education
Grants typically range from $1,000 to $5,000. Funds must support LOCAL (Southern Nevada) needs. Funding will NOT be given for general operations or travel expenses.
In order to qualify for Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame grant funding, an organization must:
· Benefit an organization within Southern Nevada
· Measure and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of its programs
· Fill a recognized need in the community without unnecessary duplication of others’ efforts
· Practice sound fiscal policies and responsible financial management
· Agree to provide follow-up reports/feedback
· Agree to provide photo documentation
If funded, SNSHF requests an annual quality assurance report of the program funded and may audit the financial records of the organization at any time. Future funding requests will be denied if false information is submitted or requested information is not provided.
Submission Instructions:
Organizations interested in applying for funding from Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame must submit a completed application packet no later than 5:00PM on the quarterly dates listed below:

June 30, 2012
September 30, 2012
December 31, 2012
Organizations who have been awarded with a grant will be notified within 30 days of the submission deadline on the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame website. Please go to the Community Outreach Tab and click on Grant Awards. If funded, there will be a brief synopsis of your organization and a link to your website (if applicable). All decisions are final.
