Executive Director’s Letter »

We are very pleased to have had the opportunity to serve our community for the last 16 years.  During that time, since we first honored David Humm in 1997 as an inductee at our inaugural event, the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame has evolved into what has become a time-honored evening to recognize a select group of individuals who, through their dedication and commitment to sport, have become giants in our community.

During the past years, we have worked closely with various youth groups and charities to fulfill our Mission Statement.  The Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame is a self-funded, 501-3C charity.  Our Board of Trustees is made up of 33 community leaders that invest time and resources each year to honor our inductees and raise money to support youth sports.

As executive director, I would like to personally thank our Board of Trustees, our Advisory Board and our event sponsors as well as the many businesses that have made in-kind contributions.  All of the contributions have allowed us to establish a solid foundation within the community for Southern Nevadans to reflect on our rich sports heritage now and for years to come.

Presently the public can enjoy our Hall of Fame located inside the Findlay Automotive store in the Galleria Mall.  Special thanks to Cliff Findlay, Tyler Corder, and Rich Abajian for their support and leadership throughout the years.

In closing, I would like to thank you for your continued support of the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame.  We truly admire all of our Hall of Fame Inductees, and our Board of Trustees is committed to making each inductee’s enshrinement an experience they and our Southern Nevada residents can cherish for a lifetime.

Sincerely,

Dale Eeles
