Biography:

tarkJerry Tarkanian may be the most revered sports figure in Las Vegas.
The long-time coach of the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels turned Las Vegas into frenzy during his 19 years at the helm of one of the most successful college basketball programs in NCAA history.
Tarkanian amassed a 509-105 record at UNLV and led the Rebels to 14 NCAA Tournament appearances, four Final Fours and the 1990 National Championship. UNLV compiled home winning streaks of 72, 59 and 36 during Tark’s tenure. Tarkanian also has had successful coaching stints at Long Beach State and Fresno State as well as a short stint as head coach of the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs.
